Why is an online asbestos awareness 1.5 hours and a face to face 3 hours plus?

The delivery of training online will always be less than in a classroom. Our e-learning specification requires the course to run for a minimum of 2 hours, and the classroom training course is 3-4 hours.

E-learning allows the material to be delivered directly to one delegate, and you therefore don't have a classroom of up to 15 delegates with interaction and delivery by a tutor. With e-learning the delegate can move through the course at their own pace. It really depends on which method you prefer.

UKATA believes that Asbestos Awareness Training should be delivered by face to face (classroom) training and that E-Learning is suited for refresher training when used in conjunction with face to face training.
