Can a delegate translate the course and still receive a certificate for participating?

However, if a delegate assumes the role of translating the course content for others, this responsibility would hinder their ability to concentrate on and fully absorb the material themselves. Our training standards are designed to facilitate direct engagement with the content, enabling participants to effectively apply the knowledge and skills learned.

Consequently, UKATA does not permit delegates to serve as translators during the course while also seeking certification for themselves. This policy ensures that each participant, including those taking on translation duties, has the opportunity to fully engage with the training without divided attention. For training sessions that require translation, we recommend that our member organisations employ professional translation services. This ensures that all participants, regardless of their primary language, can fully benefit from the training provided.
